Warranty

How does the included warranty work?

  • R5 offers a (1) year local warranty on PCs built out of 100% NEW hardware. R5 offers a (6) month local warranty on PCs that have one or more used components. Warranty begins on the date of purchase. Warranty is NOT transferrable.

  • R5 warranty covers the HARDWARE in the PC that was purchased. This coverage does NOT extend to monitors, keyboards/mice, any other peripherals. This coverage does NOT extend to customer-installed hardware, modification, or resale. Any modification voids the R5 warranty unless approval is granted in writing via email.

  • R5 reserves the right to void the included warranty at any time, for any reason. To clarify, R5 has not voided a single warranty on 900+ PCs sold, but R5 reserves the right to void any warranty at any time due to societal degradation of general common sense.

  • R5 warranty does NOT cover software or firmware in any capacity. This includes pre-installed drivers, Windows updates, RGB software, display software etc.

  • R5 warranty does NOT extend to cover faulty power strips, surge protectors, UPS devices, etc. If troubleshooting is required due to an issue unrelated to the PC hardware, a fee may be assessed.

  • R5 warranty does not cover any form of overclocking, including RAM JEDEC standards, CPU overclocking, GPU overclocking, or any form of modification to the hardware outside of R5-defined user interaction.

  • R5 warranty does not cover RGB components in any capacity, from fans, light strips, RAM RGB, AIO RGB, GPU RGB, motherboard RGB, or case RGB. This extends to internal LCD displays in any capacity. RGB is cosmetic and does not affect performance. RGB LEDs that may burn out individually are not covered under R5 warranty.

  • R5 warranty does NOT cover user-modified firmware, drivers, or any firm of user modification outside of standard driver updates. R5 will deliver every PC plug-and-play ready with easy access to GPU driver updates. Updates to firmware/software that incur damage to the hardware or affect functionality are NOT covered under R5 warranty.

  • R5 warranty covers initial troubleshooting via text or phone, on R5's timeframe. Responses are generally within (4) hours during business hours. If an issue cannot be resolved via text/phone, the PC must be brought back to R5 place of business at customers expense.

  • R5 holds no obligation to provide support for issues unrelated to the PC hardware that was purchased from R5. R5 will often assist with client support to resolve issue and provide technical support for issues outside of the hardware, but is not obligated to do so in any capacity. This refers to issues related to the operating system, a game or game engine, and any software/apps/add-ons. Support offered for any of these factors is entirely at-will and can be terminated at any time, for any reason.

  • R5 warranty is not offered on PCs that are shipped. This includes private sale directly by R5 and sales via 3rd party platforms such as Jawa.com.

  • R5 reserves the right to void warranty in the case of a bug/rodent infestation inside of the PC.
